Remote vs Office
Here’s the trend: the IT market has gotten noticeably tougher on work formats.
Remote is shrinking. Hybrid is becoming the norm, in the shape of “come in 4 days out of 5.” Full on-site is making a comeback even at companies that were shouting “we’re remote-first” just two years ago.
Meanwhile, the best specialists I know work from wherever they want. And they deliver. Consistently.

An Interesting Standoff
Companies want control. The talent market wants freedom.
Someone will bend. The question is who goes first.
Is remote a requirement or a bargaining chip? For me, the answer is obvious: if someone delivers results, the format is secondary. But not every employer is ready to accept that.
The market will sort it out. Companies that force people into offices without good reason lose their best people. Those that offer flexibility in format gain a competitive edge in hiring.
